This solemn monument of Justus von Liebig can be seen in the park of Maximiliansplatz in Munich. Created in 1883 by German sculptor Max Wagmüller, the imposing Carrara marble and granite complex depicts the famous chemist seated and pensive.
It is embellished with allegorical bas-reliefs dedicated to agriculture and chemistry.
