EMI Abbey Road Studios in London were crucial for the invention of the CT scanner, because the fabulous profits obtained thanks to the success of the Beatles in the ‘960 allowed EMI to invest in the project of Godfrey Hounsfield which eventually led to the Nobel prize winning invention.
