Franco Basaglia’s tomb

Italian psychiatrist Franco Basaglia died due to a brain tumor in 1980 and was buried in his family’s chapel, in the cemetery on the island of San Michele in Venice. The chapel has a simple and modest style. We can find the family name on the top of the entrance door and a Latin funerary inscription on the center of the door that says: “BEATI MORTVI / QVI IN DOMINO /MORIVNTVR /REQUIEM /AETERNA DONA / EIS DOMINE”.
