17th century Palais Wildenstein in Graz (Paulustorgasse, 8) hosted the city’s general hospital (Allgemeines Krankenhaus) from 1786 (when this institution was established by Emperor Joseph II) to the end of the 19th century, when the new Landeskrankenhaus-Universitätsklinikum Graz was built on the outskirts of the city.
