Guido Chidichimo’s Museum

The “Guido Chidichimo” Museum is dedicated to Guido Chidichimo, an Italian surgeon who pioneered open-heart surgery, and it is located in via Difisella in his hometown: Alessandria del Carretto, where he was born in 1912 and where he was buried in 1998, after his death in Rome.

Inside the museum we can see an exact reconstruction of his bureau, his libraries and some of his medical instruments and awards.
