On the front of a beautiful three floors house, in Milan (Via Sant’Antonio, 9), less then a hundred meters from The Ospedale Maggiore, or Ca’ Granda, there is an inscription: “G.B.Monteggia / professore e scrittore insigne / di / scienze mediche e chirurgiche / abitò questa sua casa / e vi morì / il 17.1.1815″.
