Johann Vesling funereal monument

A solemn funeral monument (but is it also the tomb?) to the memory of Johann Vesling can be found inside the Basilica of Saint Anthony, in Padua, on a pillar of the right aisle.

Under the white marble bust of the german anatomist and botanist, there is a black marble tablet with a long latin inscription remembering, among the other things, the exact date of the scientist’s death: 30 August 1649.
