This replica of the tombstone of Dorotea da Vercelli can be seen in the “Sala Flajani” of the Museo Storico Nazionale dell’Arte Sanitaria in Rome. The Italian inscription reads as follows: “QUI GIASE MADON / A DOROTEA DA VER / ZELI HOSPITALER / A DELO ISPETALE DE / SANTA CICILIA DE SE / TEBRE DIE XXVI MCCCCLX”.
The original tombstone is preserved in the Roman church of Santa Cecilia that had an annexed hospital where the nun nurse worked.
