Ronald Ross died on September 16, 1932, and, after a funeral service held at the Holy Trinity Church, Wandsworth (1), he was buried in the same tomb with his wife in the Putney Vale Cemetery, in London.

Unfortunately, his grave has been abandoned for decades now (2) and is barely recognizable.

On the front curb, one can read “In loving memory of”, while on the right-hand one, it reads “Lady Ross”.

Unfortunately, the left-hand one has sunk into the ground, and the inscription “Sir Ronald Ross” – still visibile in some old photos (3) – can no longer be read. The tombstone is smashed into many pieces.
