William Babington statue

This marble statue of William Babington by W.Behnes can be seen in the south west transept of St Paul’s Cathedral in London. “The subject is introduced life-like, in his doctor’s robes. Old age and acute sufferings are expressed in the countenance. On the whole, the monument is a well-finished but not a pleasing work of art”1.
