In 1960 (A.D. MCMLX) the city hall of Marostica decided to affix in Piazza Castello a bronze bas-relief of Prospero Alpini, to remind his professional activity in the town. Under the bas-relief we read: “PROSPERO ALPINO / 1553 1616 / A.D. MCMLX”.
