René Jacquemaire Clemenceau’s memorial

Only this marble shelf with its French inscription remains of a little monument to the memory of René Jacquemaire Clemenceau in Paris (15-17, Rue du Docteur Jacquemaire Clemenceau). The bust of the scientist is gone. The French inscription reads as follows: DOCTEUR RENE’ JACQUEMAIRE CLEMENCEAU / 1894 – 1931 / VICTIME DE LA SCIENCE”. Apparently, he was not only a victim of science, but also of neglect and vandalism…
